My word for the year has been ‘enjoy’.

Not in a ‘do more, be more, get out there more,’ kind of a way, but more in the way a waiter might present you with a really delicious meal and say with a flourish,

When I’m actually tired of me

I keep looking at skinny jeans: those proper tight, spray-on ones.

They seem to be the uniform of the hip young things around here and these days, I need a bit of help feeling either hip or young.

I did try a pair on the other day, but let’s just say they revealed more information than I would ever plan on sharing publicly.

Setting up from scratch

When you look at craft rooms online, you’d be forgiven for thinking that to get started with scrapbooking, you need a complete, all-the-colours-of-the-rainbow, shop-like set-up.

And while having lots of things to play with is a wonderful treat, it’s absolutely not essential.

Minimalism: all I own

“I’m sorry I’m so weird,” I apologised to a friend yesterday when I found myself unable to do something that anyone else wouldn’t think twice about.

She had the sweetest response that really warmed my heart:

“You’re not weird: you’re just you.”
