I’ve had the loveliest time this afternoon – Bibles, tea, gentle music and loads of scrappy goodies: heaven!
It was just the two of us today, but I rather like the chance you get to really share when the group is smaller.
Lou is incredibly artistic: she loves to experiment and layer up different mediums on her pages. As her Bible has narrow margins, she tucks extra papers into the spine.
My page was all about this huge rose! I’m not sure what it has to do with today’s verse, but it was calling to me.
Our verse today was from Isaiah 43:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.”
And the dear girl even bought me flowers, which made me almost cry a bit. Our wedding flowers were yellow, so this was an extra lovely surprise!
Here’s my current favourite song of the playlist that we listen to at Faithscrappers:
Thank you so much for this lovely comment, Wendy. I love our little Faithscrappers group! So: how we started… I started one in my last church and simply put it on the notice sheet and village notice board, then turned up each week with my box of bits! A few ladies came, then it slowly grew.
Same for our current group really… perhaps find a couple of friends who might be interested to start you off? (As I’m on a small island here, I advertised island-wide for this group on local facebook groups).
I just tend to pick a verse each week that I like… This week I had the idea of us being precious to God on my mind, so googled, ‘precious in the Bible’! 😉 xxx

Suse,
I was just watching one of your Bible journaling share videos. Of course I love everything you do. I think it’s fabulous that you are doing this with a small group of women – so cool! I’m curious how you choose the Bible passages for your group each time. I’m also curious how you began – how you introduced it to these ladies and got it going. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

It really is, Lisa! It does me so much good to spend time with people and to be scrapbooking too – that’s just perfect! 😉
