Heavy baskets

DSCF1397

A spot of planner decorating today, since that was what I was up to anyway.

Along with a thought on how prayer is like off-loading a too-heavy shopping basket… there, now you don’t need to watch the video, ha ha.

The song that accompanies this process is a gorgeous old hymn: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” covered by the angel-voiced Chelsea Moon. Here’s my favourite verse (and isn’t it so true?):

“Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.”

Hope you’re super-blessed by this one, sweet friends.

    Hi Suse. You are such an inspiration for me. I know we struggle with being prideful, so I don’t want to “worship” you too much. 😊 But I love your videos so much, I love your faith and your words. Your “epiphanies” that bring you closer the the Lord and in sharing them with us brings us closer to the Lord as well. Your pages are so gorgeous and I strive to have my pages emulate yours

    I was watching some older videos and you mentioned you are part of a Ladies Craft Group at church. I have been asked to lead a scrapbooking fellowship at church. I have prayed, but my desire to want to do it is so great I can’t hear God’s will.

    I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind talking to me about your group. Maybe through fellowship with another crafty Sister I can continue to pray and hear God’s word.

    Thank you for your time.
    God Bless You!

      Oh hey sweet friend! Thank you for this gorgeous message that is just so encouraging to me. I really do hope you feel led to start a Bible Journalling group… it’s so much fun! I’ll tell you what: I’ll write a little blog post for you on how I did it – that might be easier than messaging. Sending so much love! xxx
